Drivers License / ID Restrictions
Driver License Requirements
- •All hirers must be in possession of a valid, original driving licence including the photo ID.
- •Drivers must have held a valid driving licence for a minimum of 2 years, or 3 years for premium vehicles and vans.
- •Driving licences must be in English, Latin, or Roman alphabet.
- •An International Driving Permit is required when a driving licence is not in English, Latin, or Roman alphabet.
- •The hirer is solely responsible for ensuring the licence is valid in Spain and whether an International Driving Permit is required by local law.
- •If the hirer arrives at the rental desk without the necessary documentation, the booking will be cancelled with no refund.
Rental May Be Denied For
- •Previous driving disqualifications
- •Pending prosecution or police enquiry
- •Convictions for offences relating to theft, fraud, or dishonesty
- •At-fault accident within the last 5 years
- •More than 1 accident in the last 3 years
- •Defective vision

The accepted cards listed above must be in the main driver's name, have sufficient funds to cover the excess liability, and have an expiration date at least 2 months beyond the return date of the rental. If a valid card is not provided, the booking may be cancelled and no refund will be issued for any prepaid amount.
Deposit and Protection Packages
Green Motion offers 4 packages with varying levels of protection. The Basic package is the cheapest but has the highest damage and theft excess amounts, while Premium Plus comes with 0 excess and a very low security deposit. A security deposit is pre-authorized on the main driver's credit card.
Third-party liability is included in rates, limited to EUR 50,000,000 for body and property damages to third parties. VAT (21%) is included in all amounts.

Damage and Theft Excess Reduction / Waiver Products
Reduced Damage Waiver (RDW) reduces the damage/theft excess to a lower amount. RDW does not cover damage to the interior or underside of the vehicle, tyre and wheel damage, broken or lost keys, or contamination of fuel.

Cross Border Restrictions and Mileage
Border crossing is not permitted; renters are required to stay within Spain for the full duration of the rental. Basic, Plus, and Premium packages include 250 km per day up to a maximum of 1750 km per rental (unlimited mileage when renting at Mallorca Airport). Premium Plus includes unlimited mileage. Mileage can be doubled (limit 3500 km) for 100 EUR; excess kilometres are charged at 0.50 EUR per km.

Operational Fees and Policies
- •Driver age: minimum 20, maximum 80. Young driver surcharge (ages 20-24): 10 EUR/day, max 150 EUR. Senior driver surcharge (ages 70-80): 8 EUR/day, max 150 EUR.
- •Fuel policy: full to full for all packages. Missing fuel is charged 35 EUR per rental (refuelling fee) plus 2.5 EUR per litre.
- •Out-of-hours services are on request and cannot be guaranteed at all stations (a 50 EUR out-of-hours fee may apply).
- •In the event of an accident, an admin fee of 50 EUR applies. Fines and traffic violations carry an admin fee of 40 EUR.
- •A strict no-smoking policy applies to all vehicles; a minimum fee of 50 EUR applies for violations.
- •Late returns: a 59-minute grace period applies; returns outside the grace period incur additional charges.
- •Some vehicles include tracking devices used according to the data protection policy.
- •Lost keys are deemed negligence and are not covered by insurance excess limitation or risk reduction packages.
Cancellation and No-Show Policy
- •Reservations are held for 2.5 hours from the specified reservation time, after which they are classed as a no-show (non-refundable).
- •Basic package: non-refundable.
- •Plus and Premium packages: 7+ days before start date refund minus admin fee, 3-6 days 50% refund, 2 days 25% refund, 0-1 day no refund.
- •A minimum cancellation fee of 15 EUR applies to all prepaid reservations.
- •Premium Plus package: free cancellation up to 48 hours before the reservation start time.
